Greetings from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Xi Zeta Chapter…
Welcome to our website!
Welcome to the official website of the Xi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated! Since December 5, 1935, Xi Zeta has been upholding the core principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood within the St. Louis metropolitan area. Our members have contributed numerous hours to community service through Zeta’s world-renowned signature service program Z-HOPE, which stands for Zetas Helping Other People Excel.
Expanding our community outreach, as a community-conscious action-oriented organization, we have tailored programs and initiatives to address the specific needs of the communities we serve. Our efforts include supporting local schools through the Adopt-A-School program, providing care for seniors via the Elder Care initiative, advocating to combat Domestic Violence, and much more.
A hallmark of Xi Zeta’s endeavors is our Stork’s Nest program, a collaborative initiative with the March of Dimes (March for Babies) to encourage women to seek prenatal care within the first trimester of pregnancy thereby increasing the prevention of birth defects and infant mortality. The Stork’s Nest Program promotes prenatal care participation and healthy behaviors during pregnancy through incentives and educational components. Xi Zeta’s Stork’s Nest has existed in various locations around St. Louis since 1975.
The Xi Zeta Chapter also has very active youth groups that engage in youth-focused community service projects such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk, Ronald McDonald House, Sickle Cell Association, Shriner’s Hospital, St. Jude, and March of Dimes just to name a few. There are three youth groups for girls ranging from 4-18 years of age. Below is a description of each youth group:
- Archonettes are high school-aged young ladies who demonstrate an interest in the principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
- Amicettes are girls 9 to 13 years of age who are willing to strive toward the high ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and who demonstrate potential for leadership in service to the community.
- Pearlettes are girls 4-8 years old who are mentored by ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. to become future leaders in their community.
In addition to working with our youth groups, Xi Zeta is also the sponsor of three undergraduate chapters, Phi Alpha Chapter at Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, MO (1936), Omega Epsilon Chapter at Washington University in St. Louis, MO (1975) an the Tau Omicron Chapter at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO (1994), all chapters are comprised of collegiate women, who are pursuing a baccalaureate degree.
Lastly, we sponsor two adult auxiliary groups the Zeta Amicae and the Zeta Male Network. Both groups are open to men and women over the age of 18 who seek to serve the community and uphold the principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
